My approach to counselling places you at the centre. You may feel at the beginning that you do not know what is best for you – allowing trust within the relationship is key. Rather than see me as your counsellor, think of me as your companion as you begin to explore within the room concepts of self.
I offer a warm, safe environment. I will not judge or direct you. The safe space gives you the opportunity to share, discuss and explore your thoughts and feelings in an environment that is open and empathetic.
Over the weeks you will develop insights, develop your own self awareness and move towards self-acceptance, regaining your own self-direction leaving you connected back to you.
At times we can feel labeled. You may not know what has led you to be feeling a certain way. But the first step has been taken as you have recognised that counselling is what you need right now.
